Braised Chicken Wings with Mushrooms and Eggs

I love braised dishes especially love the sauce over a bowl of white rice.  Love it even more because its so easy to prepare ...

Receipe reference from jthorge

Ingredients:
16 chicken mid-wings
2 tbsp cooking wine
2 tbsp sesame oil
1 tsp black pepper
(Combine all the above ingredients and marinate for at least half an hour)

1 thumb size ginger
1 clove garlic
2 shallots
8 dried mushrooms (washed and soaked in the water)
4 hard-boiled eggs

Seasoning ingredients:
1/2 tsp salt
3 tbsp dark soya sauce
1 tbsp rock sugar
1 tsp coarse sugar (Optional) - I omitted
1/4 tsp five spice powder
2 cups water

Method:
Put all ingredients in a pot and add 2 cups of water and bring to a boil over medium heat.  Partially cover and simmer for 20 minutes or until the wings are tender.

Serve hot with rice.  Hope you will enjoy this as much as we had.
