Vegetables in Spring

What a nice name this dish has?




Ingredients:
170g broccoli      } cut into flowerettes
170g cauliflower }
2/3 tin young corns
1 small carrot - sliced
1 clove garlic - chopped
2 shallots - sliced
3/4 tsp salt
2 tsp sugar
1 tbsp ginger juice
1/2 cup Knorr Chicken stock
2 tbsp oyster sauce
A dash of pepper
Sesame oil
4 tsp cornflour } mix together
2 tbsp cornoil  }
Corn oil

Method:

1. Add 1/2 tsp salt, 1 tsp sugar and some oil in 1 litre boiling water.

2. Blanch broccoli, cauliflower, young corns and sliced carrot in boiling water.

3. Heat 2 tbsp oil in work and saute garlic and shallots till fragrant.

4. Stir-fry together cauliflower and broccoli for a few seconds.

5. Add in young corns, salt, sugar and ginger juice. Stir in stock and remaining seasonings.

6. Lastly, add in corn flour blended with oil. Dish out and serve hot.

  7. We have a similar stir-fry dish in Chinese-Indonesian cuisine called 'capcay', but normally it's also with some meat and seafood.

  9. I just had this dish last week when I got bit of many kinds of vegetables. I did not use chicken stock but fish sauce instead. I did not know this dish has such a nice name. Interesting!
