THB; Mocha Cappuccino Marbled Coffee Cake

THB is into the 6th cake from the book "Coffee Cakes" by Lou Seibert Pappas.

So far, this cake seemed to get all the positive feedbacks from fellow members of THB organised by Joyce from kitchen flavours.  I fully agree this cake is very soft and moist and certainly a keeper.  My only regret is I should have done the whole recipe instead of halving it.

Before I forget, I would like to thank Joyce for organising this event and her without fail gentle reminders to us that next cake is due on.... any tips to share....  Without her reminders, I probably miss this cake.  Thanks Joyce - you are a very responsible organiser - well done.  Here's a slice to share with you.  :)

This coffee flavoured cake goes well with capuccino or lattes or even with our local kopi-O or kopi-C.

I still failed to achieve the a nice marble effect/swirls but I think I am more pleased with the taste of the cake... haha

Let's pop over to Lena who is hosting this cake for the full recipe.

  4. Hi Chris, your cake has a beautiful and very moist texture. The first time I made it I only did 2/3 the recipe. The next round, I made the whole recipe... and I'm thinking of doing another time :)

  9. hi chris, yes, the 'any tips to share' section is really helpful. Not to worry about the marbles effect, i didt get a nice swirl too, infact hardly any swirls.. but it was good that the cake turned out well for most of us.
