Cheddar Cheese Loaf

I look forward to each week end where  get to try my hands on different cakes.
Books on cakes by Alex Goh seemed quite popular among many bloggers.  I have browsed his books at bookstores but don't own any of his books.  I saw this very pretty loaves at Wen’s Delight and the photos were so captivating that I decided to give it a try. Indeed the texture of this cake is very fine and buttery.

I had this Honey Castella cake which has stirred a lot of attention amongst many bloggers for my breakfast this morning.  This from Ann whose bakes have never failed to impress me. Sometimes I really wish we are neighbours then I can pop over at her house for tea/coffee.  (Pardon my poor photos as these were snapped at 7.30am this morning ....)
