Kangkong Belachan

This is another easy, stir-fry vegetables I saw in a book.  This is one dish which I have enjoyed but was never served at home. ;)

400g kangkong, cut into sections
1 1/2 tbsp belachan (toasted)
2 tbsp dried shrimps (soaked till soft)
2 chillies (sliced)
3 cloves garlic (chopped)

1 tsp dark soy sauce
1 tsp sugar
1/2 tsp chicken seasoning powder

  1. Heat 2 tbsp of oil, fry garlic and dried shrimps until fragrant. Add belachan and fry until fragrant.  Stir in kangkong and add a little water, combine well briskly over high heat.
  2. Lastly, add chillies and seasonings to fry until kangkong is soft.

  1. i cook this too and sometimes i just skip the balachan if i dont have any. wish i could toss the kuali up and down cooking this like how the chefs normally do..ha!

  2. I would like this to serve with extra rice..yummy!
