Fast and Easy Nutella Cake

There is a time for everything and a seaon for every activity under heaven:

a time to be born and a time to die;
a time to plant and a time to uproot:
a time to kill and a time to heal;
a time to tear down and a time to build;
a time to weep and a time to laugh;
a time to mourn and a time to dance ....

This is the time I would love to share this soft and moist cake with friends with
a cuppa of my favourite kopi-C or latte.  This is the cake I bake for my big day yesterday .... ;)

I dont know why my nutella sank to the bottom instead of getting the marble effects?
Can somebody tell me what went wrong?

I have taken this recipe from Hearty-Bakes.  Hearty-Bakes cakes - her marble effects are so perfect.  Personally, I would increase the sugar the next time I bake this again.

Cheers ...

  1. hi, this cake really sounds delicious to me..yummy nutella..i'm surprised to know that the swirl didnt show in the cake, could it be too little batter was poured on the pan in the first batch before dropping in the nutella?

  6. MaryMoh - oh yes, with the nutella sinking to the base it is still a nice cake.

    Jess - thanks. Could be too little batter like what lena and you say it cos I can't think of any other reason but I feel I have poured in about two thirds of the batter... sigh. Never mind will try again to find out why...

    BakerTan - thank you for your well wishes and a very Happy Rabbit Year to you in advance too.
