Steam Cod Fish in Bean Paste

我的最爱上桌了!“我的打扮美吗?” ;)

For those who are very into fish, cod is a likely choice. Not only it is it one of the cleanest sources of protein speaking in terms of being a solid, easily absorbable protein source with little or no carbohydrates or fat, but it also offers you a wide variety of other nutrients that are essential for good health. Thanks, Sonia for sharing this great dish. Am so glad to be able to try a different version of steaming cod fish - Its a very good combination with bean paste. My usual way of steaming cod fish is just rub a little salt and sugar. For receipe, please refer here

Ingredients:

500g Cod fish
2tbsp Japanese Miso paste (I replaced this with the chinese bean paste)
2tbsp water
6 red dates, halved
½” ginger, shredded
A dash of Pepper
A few drops of sesame oil
Spring onions, shredded (soak in water, to get nice curl)

1. Place cod fish, red dates and shredded ginger in a steaming plate, mix miso with water, add pepper and sesame oil.

2. Steam over high heat for about 10mins (start to steam it when water is boiled).

3. Garnish with spring onions, serve hot with steam rice.

  7. I love that your two recent posts are on steamed fish. I looooove steamed fish, especially when the fish is fresh before cooking! I'd love to share this post to our readers in Foodista . I hope you don't mind. Just add the foodista widget for cod at the end of this post, and that should do it! Thanks, looking forward to your next posts! xx

    Cheers from Australia,
